Compilation of sabre routines, 2 VCDs in one case

A lot of performances of sabre in all its varieties, modern and traditional, single and double, short and long. There are some interesting traditional styles, and some explanation of them in Chinese. Footage is from the early 80s to 2003 that I can find dated. Some is very clear, some a little fuzzy, due to the original format. There is some rare footage here, and well worth sorting through a lot of sabre even if it isn't your favourite weapon.

Disc One: Section one: classic wushu men's sabre, including champions Yuan Wenqing, Jian Zengjiao, Yu Shaowen, Wang Jianjun, Zhao Changjun.

Section two: classic wushu women's sabre, including Wang Ping, Qiu Zhenhui, Wu Qiuhua, Zhang Yuping. Women's events Dadao (halberd), Pudao (horse cutter), Double sabre including Hao Zhihua, Sabre with whip.

Section three: traditional sabre including Xingyi sabre, Miaodao by Guo Ruixiang and Lu Jiangyuan, 53 sabre, Nine links souble sabres by Lu Jinjian, Liuhe sabre (by who looks very much like it might be Liu Dehua), Buzhan Wuhou sabre, Mingtang sabre, Ziwu sabre, Shiqian sabre, Meihua sabre, Five tiger duanmen sabre.

Disc Two: Section one: traditional, quite a few Bagua sabre, including Guo Zhenya, Dragon walking sabre by Liu Zhiqing, Wu Song sabre by Ma Zhenwu, Simen sabre, a muslem sabre, white tiger sabre, Emei 13 sabre, Wuxing sabre, Yexing sabre, White crane sabre.

Section two: Men's Double sabre, Xingyi double sabre, some classic wushu competition including Yuan Wenqing, traditional Guntang double sabre, Liuhe double sabre, Wansheng double sabre, White crane double sabre. Southern sabre.

Section three: Men's Pudao and Dadao: some 1996 competition Pudao, traditional Dadao (at a xingyi competition, but not xingyi), a traditional type competition dadao, a classic competition dadao, Meihua dadao, Cha dao (Meihua dadao), Man nationality dadao by Na Baoshan, Anyue dadao, Guangong 12 dadao (chaquan), Spring and Autumn dadao, Wuji dadao, Da Guan Dao, Green Dragon Spring and Autumn dao.
