Quebec City
Training is every weekday 5:45 to 6:45, though I am usually there by 5:00. Format is usually 40 minutes circle walking on your own, then directed training with some coaching. The teaching class is Wednesdays 6:00 to 6:45. Coached training is every weekday 6:10-6:30. Always try to come early enough to get in some circle-walking before the coaching or teaching. Coached training alternates between changes, the 88 routine, individual techniques, partner training, applications, and body toughening. Extra teaching is given in seminars, trying for the first Sunday of the month.
2010 class schedule: I am at the cabin for winter training until March. Phillipe will set up group practices so that you keep in touch during the winter. I will be back March 12. Cost is $10 per week when I am there.
2010 seminar schedule:
Classes are given in French, but since teaching is individual, could be in English or Chinese, no problem.
Location: Cataraqui park, chemin St. Louis (Sillery), just west of Maguire. Parking is at centre Michel Sarrazin's top parking lot, the driveway just east of the Cataraqui entrance (no cars allowed in the park). Then walk through the Cataraqui buildings to find the old skating rink. When it is really dark we are in the parking area between the buildings, where there is a street light. If it is pouring rain or the snow hasn't been ploughed, we might be on the veranda of the main building.
2010 winter training and seminars are at the barn in Bois du Coulonge, due to construction at Cataraqui. Come down either walkway from the parking and you can't miss seeing the buildings. There is a small, ploughed, road into them.
